Milking Stable
Each morning and evening the Jersey cows come from the loafing shed into the milking stable to be milked. This is a daily meeting place for the employees or family in effect the milking stable is somewhat of a communication center for the employees or family. Here the daily news is distributed.

Milk House
Contains the bulk tank which holds the milk. The diesel engine set up adjacent to the milk house provides the source of power for the milker units and the milk cooling system.
|
Cattle Shed
Jersey cows and heifers are kept in the shed during the winter months, since it is too cold for them to be outside.

Horse Barn
Is where the Percheron horses are brought to be fed every morning. When they are done eating, we harness them for the wagon ride. This is where wagon loading and unloading is done.
|
Dawdy (Grandpa) Barn
This is where Dawdy's main source of transportation is found. A standard bred horse and buggy. The horse and buggy is used for going to town, running errands, going to church and lots more. An orange SMV emblem on the back and battery powered lights are important safety features. Grandchildren will love it when Dawdy gets his pony out and hitches it to the little cart to give rides.
|
Equipment Shed
The equipment that we use in the fields is stored in here, plus produce washing, grading and packing, also there is a corncrib where the ear corn is stored for winter feed for cattle, hogs and chickens.
